Shadow and Bone Season 2 has officially dropped on Netflix and we spent a wonderous almost 8 hours taking in the Grishaverse and all the hype, heartbreak, repeat…and LOVING every minute of it! They made us wait what felt like forever before giving us season 2! But once it was finally on the screen it’s easy to say it was worth the wait! Thinking about giving this series a chance? Lucky for you, you don’t have to wait for the first 2 seasons you can dive into all the juicy goodness right now! Seasons 1 & 2 of Shadow and Bone are now available to live stream with your Netflix subscription. Here’s what I thought about it and why you 100% should dive in right now.

The Shadow and Bone Netflix series is based on the best selling trilogy Shadow and Bone and the Duology Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (that I just downloaded on Kindle because I can’t get enough). We start out in season 1 of Shadow and Bone learning about the Shadow Fold and the Darkling with a short and stunning history of Ravka. Then we finally see the Grishaverse and are introduced to our main character Alina Starkov and her besti Mal Oretsev. The first season takes us on a gripping adventure meeting the Crows, the Darkling, small science and the fold.

Season 2 (without too many spoilers) follows Alina and Mal as they begin trying to find a way to tear down the fold but have to face a world where some see her as hero Saint, but a great many see her as the villian. The Crows seem to be on a never ending cycle of finding the Sun Summoner on top of fighting their own enemies in the Barrel, new members join them and they go on another momentous adventure across Ravka. Finally, the Darkling is back with a new dark trick up his sleeve, strong allies and one target: Alina. This season takes us on a compelling and emotionally captivating journey with new characters to fall in love with, more OMG WHAT moments, gorgeous scenes, and a deeper look into the Grishaverse.
